Precision Below The Surface

The Zemba Companies operate hydro-excavation units, which are portable vacuum systems mounted on trucks. These units have a large vacuum pump with an 8” suction hose and a hydraulic boom, allowing us to clean catch basins, culverts, and other objects from the sides of roadways, walls, pits, or tanks. The hydro-excavators also have a high-pressure water jetting system, which is used to loosen materials without causing damage to structures. This system is particularly useful for locating buried utilities during pipeline installation projects, as it cuts into the soil and exposes buried utilities without the risk of damage that can occur with backhoes or shovels.
